MUMBAI: A fire broke out at the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) metro station on Friday at 1.09pm, originating in the basement about 40-50 feet deep.
The blaze spread to wooden storage and furniture in the area, prompting firefighting efforts.
The incident led to the temporary suspension of passenger services at BKC station after smoke entered the station from the fire outside Entry/Exit A4. Authorities paused Metro 3 services at the station, urging commuters to use Bandra Colony station as an alternative.
Following successful containment measures, metro services at BKC station have now resumed.
